18 December 2013 - Cupcake for Halloween (late post)

Here are a few pictures of Wai Leng's creation for this year's Halloween:

First, you need to prepare the cup-cakes (chocolate of course)

...then, we need to prepare a few colours for for the decoration (butter-cream) 

...then you need a lot of patience and be meticulous... 

...to make a "turkey cup-cake" ;-)

Mila is really creative and really cute...

11 December 2013 - Passeport renewal in San Francisco

The main goal of this trip was to renew my and Mila's Swiss passport...then we decided to extend a little bit our stay to enjoy this beautiful city ;-)

It does not seems too far to drive...yet we took the plane over the Rockies, beautiful!!

We rented out an apartment on VRBO.com (vacation rental by owner) and we found a really nice place in the heart of the city:

Perfect location in SF!!

The owners were really nice (David and Vallie) and the place absolutely gorgeous (in an historical victorian house), perfect for a family of 3. The neighbourhood (Duboce Triangle) is really a nice area, close to the exciting "Market Street" and at about 15min by tramway to the piers.

What was really cool, was to have a French bakery just next door!!

"Café du Soleil" on the same street...perfect!!

San Francisco probably has hundreds and hundreds of bakery...and compare to Denver metro area (at a rare few exceptions), they are AWESOME!!!

Beside eating, we also did walk a lot...really a lot... Not to mentioned that we were super-lucky with the weather, blue sky everyday!!!

02 November 2013 - More ski with Mila...

Since 02 November, Mila has been skiing quite a bit, to date and this season, she has been a total of five times!!!

13 October 2013 - Mila is opening the 2013-2014 ski season at Arapahoe Basin, CO

13th October 2013, today is a perfect day as the ski season is opening at Arapahoe Bassin.

Mila has a new ski equipment as the one form last year was too small already. So we replaced the "yellow" pair of skis with the "blue" ones and also had to replace her ski jacket and ski pants! 

There is also a very first to note, Mila's ski now fit in the ski rack:
