06 July 2013 - Mila built a car at Home Depot

Quite cool what Home Depot is doing some of the Saturdays for the kids. Today is "kids workshop day"!!

Home Depot is one of the biggest DIY (do it yourself) store in the US and you can find just about anything for your yard, your house or your car.
Mila painting more herself than her car ;-)

...don't look at me like that...

Nice car, drying up before fixing the wheels and the stickers

29 June 2013 - Las Vegas, Nevada

Not really sure that Las Vegas is an appropriate place for kids but for sure, we are going to have a good time!!

We started by heading to the airport, Mila wa SO EXCITED to take the plane, she loves that!!!

Las Vegas, here we come!!!

Mila waiting for the shuttle to the hotel
When we arrived in LV, the weather was super hot. In fact, it was one of the warmest week ever!!! We later read in the newspaper that since weather records began in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1937, it has never been hotter – when it sizzled to 117 degrees Fahrenheit (47.2 C). Only one other day in recorded history could match this heat: July 24, 1942.

Hot, hot, hot.....
The hotel we booked was a little off the main strip. But that was ok as the pool was really big and perfect for families with young children:

Our hotel:

     Red Rock Casino Resort Spa
    11011 West Charleston Boulevard
    Las Vegas, Nevada 89135

Due to the weather, we enjoyed the pools most of the day and then, by 04:00pm, headed to the main strip. Still, it was really hot (36 Celsius) but with the night approaching, it was getting cooler and cooler.

We did tried the second day to hit the shops and hotels in the morning but that was not a good idea, especially with Mila ;-)

LV is fun for a couple of days, not more unless you are able to see shows or even go to the Grand Canyon... Little Mila being with us...we had to skip all of these... We'll go back next time when she will be a bit older.

Anyway, we did visit most of the hotel, walked the strip up and down, travelled by bus, enjoy the beautiful brunch at the "Caesar Palace" and also checked out most of the fun attractions with Mila. Here are a few pictures "en-vracs" of our trip to Las Vegas
