04 February 2013 - A pineapple tart tail... (Yeah CNY is here!!!)

In the Chinese tradition, it is the custom to have pineapple tarts for Chinese New Year.

In 2013, Chinese New Year is on February 10th and it is the year of the "Snake":

Wai Leng decided to bake, for the very first time, authentic pineapple tarts:

The recipe seems fairly easy...don't get fooled, it's hard!!!


This is the famous pineapple filling...it takes about 2h to prepare!!!

Once the dough is ready, you can roll or make a ball with the pineapple paste (super sticky!!!)
