25th December 2013 - Christmas holidays in Breckenridge

For the 2013 - 2014 Christmas holidays, we decided to rent the same cabin in Breckenridge as we did last year. The place is really convenient and the landlord has made the place a little bigger...surprise!!!

We celebrated Christmas at home this year (24th) but this was a rather small celebration as we had to leave early the next day for Breck. Here are a couple of pictures:

Our tiny Christmas tree. Next year, we will buy a real one ;-)

Thank you Levi for the Giant Hello Kitty

Thank you Tata Sabrina for the chocolate and the ski-school pass (xoxo)

Mila opening all her present
Mila and her new friend: Ubooly

Thank you Grand-Pa and Grand-Ma for the beautiful book

Now I am all set, we can go to the mountain ;-)

The next morning, we loaded the car and drove up to the beautiful mountains covered by snow!

Here is a view of the upgraded cabine: new TV, finally a dining table and a living room...but still with a poor internet connection (mandatory for Wai Leng has she does not ski...). You can see how it was before here.

The upgraded cabin...and there is as well a "fire place"!!!
We had a lot of fun in Breckenridge. We went to ski (of course) but we also walked around the village. Here some of the best pictures:

At the French Bakery on the Main street ("La Française")...

...Mila giving a hug to a wooden bear, so cute... (in Breck)

Mila next to a giant Marmot in Vail

Mila is having a special hot chocolate...with sprinkles ;-)

Mila digging a block of clay and searching for some precious rocks...

Watching a movie is better than getting ready for bed...

Beautiful Keystone ski resort (typical weather)
Ice Castle and Shrimps:
Like every year, Breckenridge is crafting a castle out of ice next the main car park, this place is really big, with colourful lights and fire places all around. A really cool place to visit before dinner.

Inside the castle...

beautiful, isn't?

Nice colours...

Mila and her torch light...

...still inside the castle, this place is really big!!!
Then we went to eat a not-so-local food:

Remember this place? Bouba Gump Shrimp Restaurant (Breck)

The decoration is awesome, exactly like in the movie...

And the food is goo too...

And you can even sit on the bench (remember the chocolate box's story?)
This year was pretty cool as we celebrated as well the New Year up there, in the cabine.

Happy New Year 2014!!!

Happy New Year daddy...

...Happy New Year Mummy.

We wish you all a very nice 2014 New Year!!!
